Modern Classic Barbershop & Shave Parlor, operated by MDRN Classic Grooming Essentials LLC in Zanesville, Ohio, respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Contact details — your name, email address, and mobile phone number when you book an appointment, join the waitlist, sign in, or contact us.
- Appointment details — the services you book, your barber, appointment times, and any notes you leave for your barber.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Square, our payment processor. When a card is saved on file at booking, it is stored securely by Square; we never see or store your card number.
- Family booking details — if you book for a child or family member, the first name you provide for them, linked to your own contact record.
- Technical basics — standard web logs such as IP address and browser type, used for security and to keep the site working.
How we use your information
- To schedule, confirm, remind you about, and manage your appointments.
- To operate the waitlist and let you know when a spot opens.
- To ask how your visit went and invite you to leave a review.
- To send offers, product news, and other marketing — only if you opted in, and you can unsubscribe or reply STOP at any time.
- To keep records of consent, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations.
SMS Messaging Privacy
Modern Classic Barbershop may collect your mobile phone number when you book an appointment, join a waitlist, request information, or choose to receive text messages from us.
We do not sell, rent, share, or transfer mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent information to third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
If you opt in, you may receive appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, waitlist updates, waitlist confirmations, schedule changes, review requests, product announcements, special offers, rebooking reminders, and personalized product recommendations depending on which SMS options you selected.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the shop run, and only so they can perform services for us:
- Square — appointment scheduling, customer records, and payment processing.
- Our website hosting and email delivery providers — to serve this site and send the booking and account emails you request.
These providers process your information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing. Consistent with the SMS Messaging Privacy section above, mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent information are never shared with third parties, affiliates, or lead generators for marketing or promotional purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies & sign-in sessions
We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in to your account and to keep booking sessions working. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Data retention
We keep customer and appointment records for as long as you remain a customer, and consent records (including SMS opt-in and opt-out history) as long as needed to honor and prove your messaging preferences. You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.
Security
Your information is stored with reputable providers (Square and our hosting platform) using industry-standard encryption in transit. Payment card data is handled exclusively by Square.
Children's privacy
Appointments for children are booked by a parent or guardian using the parent's contact information. We do not knowingly collect contact details from children — a child's record holds only a first name, linked to the parent's account.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any marketing email.
- Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Email us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you.
