Modern Classic started in the chair. After more than ten years of cutting hair and watching clients struggle to recreate the style at home, our founder set out to build the products he wished his customers had: premium grooming essentials with no residue, no buildup, and a scent worth wearing.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

We take walk-ins when there is an open chair, but the safest way to lock in a time with the barber you want is to book online. Online bookings always take priority.

How do I book an appointment?

Book through our Square page in under a minute — pick your service, your barber, and a time. The Book a Visit button at the top of any page takes you straight there.

Where is the shop located?

819 Linden Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Easy street parking out front and just off Maple Avenue. See the Visit page for hours and a map.

How much does a haircut cost?

Men's haircuts start at $30, kids' haircuts (10 and under) at $25, beard trims at $25, and a full Haircut & Beard service at $45. The full menu and pricing live on the Services page.

Do you cut kids’ hair?

Yes — we cut kids ten and under in a calm, family-friendly atmosphere. Clayton is a popular pick for kids' chairs.

Do you offer straight razor shaves?

We do. Our $30 hot-towel straight razor shave is a traditional, single-blade barbershop shave finished with a balm. It’s a 30-minute service and bookable online.

Where can I buy MDRN Classic products?

Our grooming products are stocked in the shop and on mdrnclassic.com. Free shipping on orders over $60. The Shop page on this site lists every product with details and links.

Are you accepting new clients?

Always. New clients should book the New Customer service — it includes extra consultation time so we can dial in the right cut on the first visit.
